The 8th “Esimtech Cup” Undergraduates Extracurricular Scientific Research Achievement Show

On the evening of Jan. 2^nd, 2019, the 8^th “Esimtech Cup” undergraduates’ extracurricular scientific research achievement exhibition, sponsored by Chengdu Esimtech Petroleum Equipment Simulation Technology Co., Ltd. was held in Thinker’s Building in SWPU. The company chairman and the ex-Dean of Computer Science School attended this activity.

In this show, there are totally of 8 excellent works were shown, with the topic ranging from medical, education, petroleum, etc.

In this show meeting, Chen gave a speech. He was very pleased to see the showed works are better than the last year. He also shared with the students the present situation of IT industry in the global market, exhorting them to cultivate good habits, make lift objectives and diversify their own cognition model in the severe economic situation. At the end, he announced that the 9^th “Esimtech Cup” activity starts, and encourage the students to participate actively, to put their ideas into practice.

“Esimtech Cup” undergraduates’ extracurricular scientific research activity in the Computer Science School of SWPU is fully funded by Chengdu Esimtech Petroleum Equipment Simulation Technology Co., Ltd. For the eight years, totally 390 items of projects, over 2000 students were funded in this activity. Students are encouraged to form groups, learn advanced technology, design experiment methods, arrange devices and materials, and develop and test the projects, which enables students to get more practice, cultivate their interest, and find their professional privilege in real physical projects.
